My morning started with reading an editorial promoting a UN Agenda-21 approach named “Complete Streets.” Instead of spending precious time writing a rant to the local daily paper, comments which would not be printed, I instead decided to push back.

I kissed my wife as I headed out the door, on my way to the community meeting seeking input on our “Regional Plan.” The HGAC plan is the mechanism allowing the local governments to shunt all blame for oppressive regulations formulated by unelected and unaccountable autocrats, aimed at stripping away our property rights, where the politicians don’t take the blame when they vote to implement the Regional Plan in its various initiatives and recommendations.

I took a seat at a table that had already been “seeded” with people who would assist the facilitator in guiding any discussions.

Former Houston Councilman Peter Brown walked by and wasn’t pleased to see me.

Not long into the presentation, a slide with a variation of the UN Agenda-21 Sustainability Logo flashed on the screen.

 

 

The federal funding for this exercise is a continuation of President Clinton’s 1993 Executive Order #12852. UN-Agenda-21 will just never go away.

Taxpayers not only are funding the $3.5 million HUD grant for these exercises, I was told several non-profit NGO’s, likely with taxpayer-subsidies, are providing the matching funds.
